I would also say that the mat that shipped curled up but after a few hours in the sun it flattened out pretty well and the next 2 days it was nice and flat. It is quite thin and my chair can show rolls in the carpet, usually around the edges. If it were stronger (thicker), it would be more likely to stop migrating when it hits that desk leg, although some may still lift in such a case. Bottom line, not a bad mat, just not thick enough to qualify as heavy duty, IMO. Over time the rollers and migration can become annoying enough that I replaced them with a really tough mat.Chair Leg Protection For Wood Floors

Protecting Hardwood Floors From Furniture Is Easy
If you're installing a new hardwood floor, thinking ahead about ways to protect it will pay off. Make sure the furniture is sturdy and the legs are level on the bottom. Furniture cushions come in many varietiesThere are a number of protectors you can purchase to attach to furniture legs to protect your hardwood floors. They are commonly referred to as furniture glides, chair glides, floor glides, or feet. Felt pads are a popular option, but there are different types of pads available, including nylon, rubber, leather, and carpet. There are differences in how gliders are attached to furniture legs, and these can make a difference in how well they work. The pads can be glued, or have nails or screws to drive into the bottom of the feet. Glue, or peel & stick adhesive, is very common on pads, but isn't the best solution for objects that move around a lot, like chairs. This makes the hole in the furniture leg even bigger, making it difficult to fit new pads. You can make your own pads from thick felt, the loop side of Velcro, carpet or leather. Cut to fit, clean the feet and glue the pads on with hot glue or a good trusted adhesive. We can help you protect your floors
