Your main responsibilities will be to compile orders, restock and move merchandise, whether on the sales floor or to a customer vehicle. Your day will be spent checking inventory and orders, interacting with customers and driving a forklift. If you are friendly, organized, hardworking and someone who thrives in a warehouse environment, Floor and Decor is the place for you. Experience with heavy machinery, forklifts or agricultural equipment a plus but not required. Where permitted by state law, heavy equipment operator certification requires passing a drug test. Working conditions (travel and environment) In the performance of his duties, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and to moving vehicles. Physical/Sensory Requirements Ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible force up to 20 pounds continuously to lift, carry, push, drag or move objects. The employee is often required to use his hands and fingers, to manipulate or to feel. The employee often has to stand, walk, stretch with arms and hands, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, squat or crawl.
