Water traps with single discharge outlet

Each device that evacuates waste water must incorporate a siphon to prevent stale air from entering the building. The type of appliance determines the size of the drain pipe and trap, and the size of the drain pipe determines the minimum slope required for the pipe:

1:20 for 32mm pipes

1:40 for pipes 65 mm in diameter and less

1:60 for pipes 100 mm in diameter and less

Water traps must be:

located as close as possible to the sanitary facilities

removable or equipped with a cleaning eyelet. a washing machine) discharge and the water seal should not be more than 1.2 m.

Water traps with multiple discharge outlets

One trap can service multiple fixtures such as:

two household sinks and a dishwasher (note that if a sink has a garbage disposal, it must be drained separately)

two laundry bins

a laundry tub and a washing machine

two sinks. A discharge pipe that receives discharge from two or more appliances must have a minimum diameter calculated from G13/AS1: Table 4 Discharge unit load for chimneys and graduated discharge pipes. A vent pipe must:

have a continuous rise from the point of connection with the exhaust pipe to the open air

finish outdoors

terminate at least 50 mm above the overflow level of the highest appliance it serves

be fitted with a bird excluder device

have a slope of at least 1:80. Relief stack vents must have:

a minimum diameter of 80mm when also serving as a drain pipe, or

a minimum diameter as given in G13/AS1: Table 6 Vent Pipe Sizes. When draining to a sewer, toilet bowls can be:

ventilated by connection to a drain vent as long as the developed length does not exceed 1.5 m for an 80 mm diameter pipe, or 6 m for a 100 mm diameter pipe

connected directly to a drain without venting if the slopes of the main drain and the waste pipe are 1:60 or more and the developed length does not exceed 1.5 m for an 80 mm pipe diameter or 6 m for a 100 mm diameter pipe. They:

no need to have a water trap

can discharge directly outdoors or into a siphon

must not be connected to a waste water disposal system the water contained in the siphon can be lost by evaporation, letting in unpleasant odors

must have a minimum diameter of 40 mm

must have a grid at ground level so as not to create a hazard.

Drain/Vent Pipe On Outside Of House - Code?

I need to run a drain from a utility room (over a slab) and need to run the 2" pipe to the outside wall then a few feet before it goes under the house. I guess I could run it inside the wall, but it would be difficult to angle it towards the crawl space.
