I thought GD could use something other than VA on 1/20 to think about. I don't think there's a subforum on this topic, but I think I'd get better exposure to the ideas here anyway. I purchased an 8.5'x24' v-nose trailer last October and want to look at something other than bare wood. I don't want any super fancy or expensive ideas and will leave the interior space entirely open for what I'm carrying. Above all, I want to paint the walls and the floor. I don't want Rhino-liner due to cost and because I want a light gray floor color.

I noted that the factory fasteners weren't being used as I thought they should have been and the screws were going through the plywood at both ends. I increased the ties to 6 inch spacing at the ends and also installed screws on 12 inch centers on all other floor joists. I also used a pilot drill on each hole as the self-drilling screws leave a lot to be desired. I also welded all the old screw holes so I wouldn't strip the floor joist screws.
